My name is Matt Rynn. For the last 25 years, I’ve worked in the FE & Skills sector in a wide range of roles and contexts, including

  • Head of quality in general FE colleges and national independent training providers.

  • Senior quality and curriculum management in adult education and post-16 SEND provision.

  • Lead internal quality assurer in national and regional training providers.

  • Lecturer, trainer and assessor across multiple vocational sectors.

The purpose of Im:prove FE & Skills Consultancy Services is to bring those 25 years’ worth of experience to supporting providers in the sector to navigate the ever-changing complexities of quality assurance and quality improvement, from operating an effective internal sampling process to managing realistic and impactful self-assessment and improvement planning oversight.

I am available to support with conducting quality assurance and improvement activity for you, or to provide tailored CPD for your staff to equip them with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for an effective quality function. I’m based in the North-West of England but I’m more than happy to provide remote support if you are!
